| Well, I'm officially DONE with paypal after this. I sold a Z-related item on eBay, new in box, (Z32 wiring harness), and the buyer paid via paypal. (Confirmed seller). This was about 1.5 months ago. A few weeks ago, I got an email stating that the buyer has initiated a chargeback. I hadn't heard a word from the buyer whatsoever. I email him and ask what's the deal, and he responds saying "he doesn't think it is for a TT" so he wants his money back. I stated in my auction that it is for a 95 TT 5 speed, NEW IN BOX, NEVER INSTALLED, and (of course I put Sold as-is, no warranty expressed or implied). I know damn well it is for a TT. I tell him that it is sold as is, and I would not offer a refund, but I asked why he initiated a chargeback before even talking to me. (never heard a response). I give paypal the emails, tracking numbers, PICTURES OF THE ITEM AND THE BOX PACKED UP WITH HIS NAME ON IT too!! I get a notice today that they have awarded the buyer his money back, so paypal takes the $$$ out of my account, and gives it to him. He has my harness, and my money.
WTF? SELLER protection, my ass!
I'm done with paypal. I did everything I was supposed to do to protect myself, and I get screwed.
You guys have any similar dealings? This is frustrating.
